American jazz saxophonist (tenor), flutist, vocalist and composer. Born : January 17, 1943 in Houston, Texas. Billy played with Gil Evans, Art Blakey, Thad Jones & Mel Lewis, Lee Morgan, Max Roach, Elvin Jones and others. From 1973 recorded as a leader.
